As the sun begins to set I find myself sitting by a beautiful lake in Daylesford (Victoria, Australia) with a dram of Glenfiddich 18 year old in my hand.
My senses are overloaded. This part of the world is pristine and stunningly beautiful. The birds are singing. And, the aroma of single malt is breathtaking.
The whisky showcases Glenfiddich’s signature apple flavours, but the malt’s character is mostly sherried and oaky. Sherry wood and spice (cinnamon, nutmeg) define the palate – it is rich with dark dried fruits (plum jam, dates, raisins), fortified wine, christmas cake and it boasts plenty of depth. Its mouth-feel is oily and viscous, almost buttery. I am in love. ❤
Hello Ângelo, i like your blog very much and i’m always learning here. Keep the good job! About Glenfiddich 18, is it really 46% ABV? Cheers. Cesar from Brazil.
