Type: American whiskey
Origin: Kentucky, USA
ABV: 37%
Malt Mileage rating:
Reaction: 😒
Nose: Sweet, with pleasant mild grain notes such as corn, multi-grain bread and soft notes of oak with hints of vanilla and caramel.
Taste: Thin, watery and astringent, there seems to be very little depth and character. Flickers of grain and hints of oak rapidly fade to soft vanilla and then bitter alcohol gnaws at the tip of my tongue. There are moments when some lovely corn whiskey flavours appear, but those moments are sparse and short lived.
Finish: Mild vanillas, with faint buttery undertones.
Overall: Gee, this is boring whiskey…
